While soybean yields have steadily increased, there are a number of planting and in-season strategies can further increase soybean yields. After successful completion of this course, you’ll be able to share with your customers:

Bruce Carlson is a Technical Specialist with CHS Agronomy.  Before joining the company four years ago, he worked for DuPont/Pioneer for 27 years working in varies roles. Roles included Account Manager, Technical Rep. and Field Agronomist. Bruce graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Soil Science and Agronomy. 

Matt Pauli

Matt Pauli is originally from southern Wisconsin where he grew up on a dairy farm. He received a B.S. in Crop and Soil Science for the University of Wisconsin Platteville in 1992. Later he attended NDSU for Weed Science. After college, Matt worked for Monsanto, screening herbicides and evaluating and marketing Roundup Ready crops including corn, soybeans, canola, sugarbeet, and wheat. Later, Matt became the regional agronomist supporting both Asgrow and Dekalb brands of corn, soybeans, and sunflowers.  In 2004, Matt became the seed manager for Triangle Agronomy in Lake Park, MN where he managed the coops seed business. In 2008, he became the regional agronomist for Pioneer Hi-Bred in Wisconsin where he was responsible for product evaluation, product lifecycle and performance inquiries. In 2014, Matt became a technical specialist for CHS Agronomy where he still is today.

Dave Taylor is currently a Technical Specialist for CHS Agronomy, prior to joining CHS he spent 35 years working in retail covering eastern Indiana and western Ohio in several capacities. He started out as a crops salesperson/custom applicator. After earning his master’s degree he transitioned into an area agronomist role with two large cooperatives, followed by four years as the precision ag department manager for a large cooperative.

Corteva Agriscience, Enlist Field Specialist – MN, SD, ND

Steve Snyder is an Enlist field specialist and serves as the in-field expert for the Enlist weed control system in the upper Midwest, including the Dakotas and Minnesota. His area includes a large number of soybean acres. Steve has more than 30 years of experience in crop protection with Dow AgroSciences and Corteva Agriscience. Snyder and other Enlist field specialists are experts in weed management, application technology and crop research.
