Blake Murnan

CHS Agronomy, Product Development Manager

Blake Murnan is currently the Product Development Manager for CHS Agronomy.  Blake started with CHS in March of 2019 when CHS acquired West Central.  In this role, Blake helps manage the development and implementation of the CHS Agronomy “Focus Products” which include seed treatments, micronutrients, and adjuvants.  He has developed products and services such as STI Customized and Ridgeline Seed Care, which has set CHS Agronomy apart from its competition. Before coming over to CHS,  Blake spent thirteen years with West Central and an additional fourteen years in the Cenex-Land O’Lakes cooperative system including roles as a local agronomist, national seed treatment account manager, and proprietary products technical support and marketer.  

Blake’s education includes a Bachelor of Agronomy – Iowa State University, and Master of Entomology – University of Nebraska. Blake resides in Bloomington, Minnesota where he is married and has two daughters. 

Travis Palmquist

CHS Agronomy, Seed Improvement Specialist

Travis Palmquist is a Seed Improvement Specialist for CHS Agronomy.  Before joining the company, he worked as a Quality Assurance Engineer for CINCH agri-business software.  He also worked for almost a decade in corn and soybean research as a Research Associate for Pioneer Hi-Bred (DuPont) and Syngenta. Travis resides in Minnesota with his wife and two children.  He stays busy with work and the children’s activities.  In his free time, he enjoys golf and spending time with friends and family at the lake.

His areas of expertise include crop protection products with a direct focus on seed treatments and inoculants.

Vive Crop Protection, Technical Sales Agronomist

George Huckabay is a Technical Sales Agronomist for Vive Crop Protection several with several years working in Ag retail.  He specializes in production Agronomy where he uses his years of experience to help growers be more profitable with sound agronomic practices. He lives in South Alabama with his wife Ellen, son Will and their dog Beckwith.  He enjoys being in the outdoors and is an avid fisherman.
